AEM Content Author
Responsibilities
We are seeking a detail-oriented, data driven Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) content author to join our team. As an AEM Content Author, you will work within Adobe Experience Manager to create pages in our component-based design system and will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing digital content within the platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital content creation, a deep understanding of AEM, and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- • Responsible for creating, editing and publishing web content using the Adobe Experience Manager content management system. This includes edits to existing pages and building new pages.
- • Ensure pages are built with accuracy, consistency and adherence to brand and website guidelines.
- • Optimize website content for search engine visibility, usability, accessibility and user experience.
- • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather content requests and implement them on the website.
- • Manage, organize, and optimize digital assets for optimal accessibility and performance.
- • Conduct thorough quality checks including proofreading, functionality testing, cross-browser compatibility testing on all content and pages to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines.
- • Troubleshoot and resolve any content-related issues within the AEM platform.
- • Collaborate with digital designers on UX/UI for guidance on new page layouts and implement UX/UI recommendations.
- • Ensure a seamless user experience by organizing and structuring content in a user-friendly manner. Implement intuitive navigation, clear calls-to-action, and responsive design principles to optimize user engagement.
- • Adhere to content governance policies, standards, and best practices. Maintain a consistent content structure, naming conventions, and metadata tagging to facilitate content discoverability and management.
- • Apply SEO best practices including metadata and relevant keywords to improve organic rankings.
- • Monitor and analyze content performance and optimize using Adobe Analytics and in partnership with data and analytics team members. Leverage data-driven insights to optimize content strategies and improve user experience.
- • Provide occasional support and training to team members on AEM content authoring processes.
Qualifications
Essential skills & Knowledge
- Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Experience Manager and extensive knowledge of building pages and optimizing content within component-based systems.
- Ability to uphold brand and website standards.
- Proven experience as an AEM Content Author or similar role.
- Ability to apply WCAG 2.1 AA standards to the content authoring process.
- Understanding of how to apply SEO best practices to the authoring role.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Highly entrepreneurial with the ability to prioritize work effectively and manage multiple initiatives at once.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail.
Software Proficiency:
- Adobe Experience Manager. Certifications in AEM are a plus.
- Adobe analytics is a plus
- Figma
- Asana experience is a plus
- Microsoft Office Suite
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree marketing, communications, or a related field
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of AEM authoring experience
- Agency experience IS A MUST
- Fluency in English is required.
